LATVIAN ODYSSEY / Jugendclub der Kulturetage Oldenburg / Oldenburg / Germany
The town of Oldenburg became a city of fugitives after World War II. Many people from the Soviet-occupied Baltic States, especially from Latvia, came here. They were housed in former NS-work-camp baracks, and the area was later named "Latvian Colony". Young people living there today have researched the history of the district. A play was constructed by showing five biographies, impressive in the way of seriosity of the actors. Director: Dettmar Koch.
