WILD KOPPIG BLOED / Leuwarden / Netherlands
Seven impetuous girls dance and act, which is good fun. The place where it all starts is a girls boarding school. These are blushing, hearty, fiery girls. Girls who are wild and provocative and have no fear whatso-ever, not even of each other. Girl dreams, intrigues, subordination and resistance pass in review. The choreographer Hildegard Draayer overcame her youth boarding school experience in this humourous dance theatre play. The production is a mixture of picture, text and dance. The integration of different theatrical forms is often the way Hildegard Draayer works. She herself is an actor and a dancer. The strength of her production lies in the successful integration of both expressions. It’s a pleasure to see the lively group ›Pests‹ from Wild Koppig Bloed (wild fiery blood), acting their humourous and powerful play.
