DANSÈ DONSÈ DAN DAN / Latrinité / Gent / Belgium
This production heralds the debut of three young actors. None of them have formally learned acting or dancing. Their production is remarkable for their ability to avoid the usual method of dancing. All three mix the elements of dance and theatre. Varying between the Marx-Brothers and Fred Astaire, they have developed an incomparable style that doesn’t allow itself to be put into any category. One of their biggest assets is humour, which underlies the whole representation with a wonderful lightness. Although they’re not professionals, they know how to use their individual abilities professionally. The choreography and production bubbles over with the energy of this trio.
